By accessing or using Cenacle, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. About Cenacle

Cenacle is a free, donation-based Catholic online prayer platform. It is operated as a personal ministry project and is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, any diocese, parish, or religious organization unless explicitly stated. The presence of any Mass stream does not imply official Church endorsement of the platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years of age or older to use Cenacle independently
• Users aged 13–17 may use Cenacle only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian
• Users under 13 are not permitted to use Cenacle
• By using Cenacle, you represent that you meet these age requirements

3. Account Registration (Hosts)

To create and manage prayer rooms, you must register as a host using Google Sign-In.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration
• Keep your account secure
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at cenacle@neilian.dev

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your host account.

4. Acceptable Use

Cenacle is a sacred space for prayer. All users — hosts, prayer leaders, and guests — agree to:

You MUST:

• Use Cenacle respectfully and in the spirit of prayer
• Dress appropriately when using your camera
• Be in a quiet, reverent environment when joining prayer rooms or Mass
• Treat all other participants with charity and dignity

You MUST NOT:

• Use Cenacle for any purpose other than prayer, worship, or faith-based gathering
• Disrupt, harass, or offend other participants
• Join rooms with the intent to disturb, spam, or cause harm
• Share, stream, or record other participants without their consent
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the platform to spread content contrary to Catholic teaching or that is offensive, hateful, or harmful
• Attempt to circumvent security features, lobby approval, or moderation systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform

Violation of these terms may result in immediate removal from a room, permanent ban from the platform, or referral to appropriate authorities where applicable.

5. Prayer Rooms

5.1 Host Responsibilities

As a host, you are responsible for:

• The conduct of your prayer room
• Moderating participants appropriately
• Closing rooms when sessions end
• Not abusing host controls (muting, kicking) against participants acting in good faith

5.2 Guest Conduct

Guests join prayer rooms without an account. By joining, guests agree to these Terms and to conduct themselves with reverence and respect.

5.3 Removal and Banning

Hosts and prayer leaders may remove participants at any time. Vote-to-kick allows participants to collectively remove a disruptive member. Cenacle reserves the right to ban users or devices from the platform for violations of these Terms.

6. Online Mass

6.1 Nature of the Stream

The Online Mass feature embeds a live stream from a parish or congregation. Cenacle is not the broadcaster of the Mass. We are a platform providing access to an existing stream.

6.2 No Replacement for Physical Attendance

The Online Mass on Cenacle is offered as a devotional aid for those who cannot attend Mass in person. It does not fulfill the Sunday obligation under Canon Law. Users are encouraged to attend Mass physically whenever possible.

6.3 Reverence

By entering the Online Mass room, you commit to attending with the same reverence you would bring to a physical Mass. This includes appropriate attire and a quiet, distraction-free environment.

7. Prayer Intentions

Prayer intentions submitted before Mass are:

• Stored anonymously and permanently
• Never displayed to any user
• Never used for any operational purpose
• Offered in good faith as personal prayers

Cenacle does not guarantee that prayer intentions are reviewed by any priest, religious, or person. They are a personal act of devotion within the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

• The Cenacle name, logo, and platform design are the property of the platform operator
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Cenacle's branding or code without written permission
• Mass streams are the property of their respective broadcasters (parishes or congregations); Cenacle claims no ownership over streamed content

9. Donations

Cenacle is donation-based. Donations are:

• Entirely voluntary
• Non-refundable
• Used to support platform operation and hosting costs
• Not required to access any feature of the platform

Cenacle is not a registered charity. Donations do not qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions unless separately established.

10. Disclaimers

• Cenacle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We are not responsible for the content of embedded Mass streams
• We are not liable for the conduct of any host, prayer leader, or guest on the platform
• Technical issues (stream unavailability, connection drops, LiveKit outages) do not constitute a breach of these Terms

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Cenacle and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, disruption of service, or harm caused by other users.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Cenacle after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
